Project of the renovation of an area situated next to Poggi’s orangery, within the historic garden of Stibbert Museum, through the creation of a japanese garden. The idea to create a japanese garden inside the park of the museum comes from the high significance that oriental culture had taken in the latest part of F. Stibbert’s life, clearly noticeable by his huge collection of Japanese weapons and armor displayed in the museum. The project of the japanese garden takes the inspiration from the eclecticism of the garden, which holds together Western styles with Egyptian and Oriental elements. Therefore the Japanese Garden enhances the genius loci’ of Stibbert Park.’
