The masterplan of the landscape of the new Hailin district creates parks, gardens and winter gardens, designed by revisiting the italian gardens and landscape models in a modern and rational way.
Due to the climate difference and to the impossibility of using the plants of the Tuscan environment (e.g. olive and cypress tree), the cultural reference of the masterplan to the Tuscan landscape were recreated with more suitable species and materials.
On the contrary in the Winter Gardens, enclosed spaces enclosed into the most important buildings, it was possible to select species of the Mediterranean flora and not only, like olive trees, citrus trees, etc. The masterplan of the western area was developed by conceiving a large allegorical and formal space linked to Chinese tradition. The design, rich of symbolic suggestions, can be admired from above and can be used to host installations and open-air exhibitions.
