City’Scape Award 2024 – Tourism Landscape Mention to the ‘Green Ring for the Ancient City of Pompeii’ project

“For offering the archaeological city of Pompeii and its visitors the opportunity to rediscover the world-renowned excavations from a new perspective. A circular path that protects and enhances the context, becoming a nature-based infrastructure—a linear park capable of strengthening the bond between the archaeological city and the contemporary urban environment.”
This was the reasoning of the jury for the prestigious international City’Scape Award 2024 City Landscape for Climate Change, which awarded the Tourism Landscape Mention to our project “A Green Ring for the Ancient City of Pompeii.“
